Have your doctor wean you off gradually or you can suffer severe emotional crashing. He can tell you what to do next.
All the B vitamins help with stress. Maybe you can start walking every day. Maybe for ten minutes to start and then build up to a good half hour. You can get hooked on walking with no harmful effects if you have a normal pregnancy.
You don’t have to go to extremes, you have time to regulate your body. You don’t have to apologize for being on medicine for panic attacks. The good far outweighs the bad.
Good luck, God Bless you. Get ready for your little one.
Faith. Try it some time.
You need to talk to a doctor about that.
Exercise helps with anxiety and depression. And has NO harmful side effects. Pregnant women CAN exercise.
i think kava kava might work, you might want to double check. its a natural root.
You will need to speak with your doctor. It might not be safe to stop your medication suddenly. A totally natural stress reliever is to sit in a quiet room and breath deeply while thinking healthy thoughts. Try some meditation music (check out Kosmic Music for online downloads). If you can afford it, take yoga. I have panic problems too, and fall back on meditation when I can’t take medication–it really works! Good Luck!
i just recently heard that if you regularly take a lot of omega-3 then it helps with anxiety. not the panic attacks per se but help lower your overalll anxiety level. omega-3′s are found in all kinds of food from fish to sunflower to flax seeds…. you can get them naturally from food or in pill form.
hope this helps.
Go to the doctor that prescribed the pills and tell him/her.
It would be best if you got off the pills – especially while pregnant.
In March, I lost my 5 month old granddaughter, because her mom is a pill popper – I have no use for pills – especially when your pregnant.
My daughter (I didn’t know it) popped pills and smoked pot the entire pregnancy and then rolled over and smothered my granddaughter while she was stoned. Pills are not the answer, trust me.
Talk to your prescriber. I took Zoloft through my third pregnancy. I still got the postpartum anxiety and depression, but taking it all that time helped a lot. Remember that you have to be careful with natural remedies too. Nothing is risk free.
First talk to your doctor. You might be able to find a herbal tea at the grocery store, most grocery stores stock a wide variety of tea. A calming tea works pretty well. Someone mentioned xanax. That is not a good idea I would think. Kava Kava is no longer available to buy in the United States because of side effects.
If you are on antidepressants then it is typically not good to take them during pregnancy. Benzodiazepines are typically considered safer and the drug Tranxene/Novo-Clopate (generic Clorazepate) has a better FDA rating (category C) compared to other benzo’s but during late pregnancy (third trimester) there are certainly risks. But Valium (diazepam) has been studied extensively and most studies report that women taking Valium have no more problems compared to women not taking medications. In reality Benzos are the safest during pregnancy (I know several OB/GYN who use Benzos).
So talk to your doctor but I recommend you stay away from Ativan (lorazepam), several studies have shown a higher risk of problems with it.
before using some pills you should consult your doctor cause its not safe for a pregnant woman.you should take some exercises and have some meditations and listen to a religious musics its more relaxing.it can take a way all your anxiety and depressions. consult your prescribed doctor before taking some pills.
