For some reason, this only ever happens when I have a stomach bug, so maybe it has something to do with that.
However, I’ve described this sensation to my friends and none of them have experienced it, even when they’ve had stomach bug’s.
It only occured to me today that it could be a panic attack because my grandma told me that my family is prone to having panic attacks.
When I am ill, I will often wake up in the middle of the night, and have the weirdest feeling. As if something is being counted, and the numbers keep getting higher and higher until it ends and I feel this crushing sense of guilt as if I’ve destroyed the world or something. My stomache churns and I walk around my room all night, completely restless and unable to sit still, and surfaces feel hard like stone to touch. My heart beats really fast and I get a headache and I have been known to pound my head against the wall to try and stop it. I just go a little weird when this happens.
I know it sounds a little crazy but it has happened to me all my life and I have no idea what it is, could it perhaps be some kind of weird panic attack? It doesn’t seem life threatening and it doesn’t have any affect on me whatsoever, because I am fine the next day and, but I am just curious to know what it could be.
Thanks!
I don’t suffer any depression or any other mental illnesses of any kind, and except for these brief, very rare lapses when I’m ill, I am totally fine with a totally normal state of mind.
Jusseh: YES I have never been able to describe the exact feeling, and I never really thought about them till last time it happened (a month or so ago) because I barely remembered them the next day! It’s so awesome to know now that I’m not just some crazy person with an unknown freak attack

Lately, I’ve been having more and more panic attacks. I would lay down, get a paper bag, and breath into it until I could breath calmly again. But afterwords, my chest would slightly hurt. I had a small panic attack yesterday, and my chest was hurting a bit this morning. Is there a way to calm myself down in a safer way? And can you give me any advice to help me get less panic attacks?
